PAR Lexicons

During the last Participatory Action Research course offered by CoLab at MIT DUSP in the Fall of 2019, students were asked to produce in groups their own PAR Lexicons containing some of the most relevant concepts that would inform their community engagement processes as PAR practitioners.

The challenge was that these PAR Lexicons should rely on an epistemological diversity, or “other ways of knowing,” through which students would make an effort to convey the selected concepts using multiple forms of communication, transcending verbal language.

The results were astonishing. Below are some of the PAR Lexicons that students delivered by the end of the semester. Let you be inspired by them!
