Angela Lei

Angela Lei (she/her) is a first-year graduate student pursuing a Master of City Planning at MIT. At CoLab, she serves as a Teaching Assistant for the graduate Participatory Action Research class. Her interests lie at the intersection of transportation and environmental equity for communities of color. As a Boston native, she is passionate about making mobility more accessible for urban residents, particularly by expanding public transportation, creating safer pedestrian infrastructure, and promoting other sustainable modes of transportation. Prior to MIT, Angela earned her B.A. in Economics at UMass Amherst and worked as a digital marketer for non-profit clients. Outside of school, she volunteers with a grassroots biking advocacy organization in the South Shore and with the Massachusetts chapter of the American Planning Association (APA).
