Isaac Gendler

Isaac Gendler (he/him) is a second-year graduate student in City Planning at MIT, where he researches how California’s wildfire policies are reshaping the home insurance market and influencing land-use strategies through his work at Colab’s Climate Futures program. Before attending MIT, Isaac worked as a Utilities Engineer for the State of California during the day and conducted independent research on climate migration in his spare time. As a proud descendant of Jewish refugees from Ukraine, Isaac is deeply committed to leveraging his work to support displaced and vulnerable communities.
