Grant Williams, Director, Climate Futures Program
Grant Williams (pronouns: he, him, his) is an economic development specialist with a deep commitment to climate justice and empowering community solutions for a just transition. Grant designed and led rural electric cooperative campaigns across the Southern US and most recently worked to support the Mel King Community Fellows Program. Prior to his roles at MIT CoLab, Grant served as a Policy Analyst at City Hall in NYC. He's also worked as a Community Economic Development practitioner in Brooklyn, NY. He is deeply invested in supporting marginalized communities to build power and shared wealth through his work.
Grant received a Master's in City Planning from MIT, with a concentration in Housing, Community, and Economic Development.
