Trace Allen (he, him, his) is pursuing an MCP at MIT. He is interested in exploring co-creative economic development strategies that foster racially and environmentally just outcomes. Prior to DUSP, Trace worked as the Director of Capital & Community Advocacy at Propeller, a New Orleans-based business incubator focused on mitigating racial disparities. At Propeller he founded and led strategy on a program to support Main Street Black-owned businesses, organized a local business coalition, and managed Propeller’s $1mm debt fund. He has also been involved in environmental justice organizing in his home communities of New Orleans and the River Parishes.
