We're Giving Back to YOU this Giving Tuesday
This Giving Tuesday, we at CoLab wanted to give YOU something.
2020 has been a year of crisis and loss. Yet, we know that moments of disruption also bring opportunities for transformative change. CoLab works with organizers, civic, businesses, labor and other leaders, bringing technical planning expertise to support their efforts to advance economic democracy and self-determination.
As an action research lab inside the MIT Department of Urban Studies and Planning, CoLab also prepares a generation of practitioners and scholars to use Participatory Action Research (PAR) and co-create knowledge to fight poverty and racial injustice. Each year, we ask our students to create final projects that contribute to our ecosystem. To that end, on this Giving Tuesday, we share with you a very special student-created resource: a PAR Playlist that doubles as a tool to facilitate effective communication in group change processes. For many of us it is a reminder of how music has helped us to get through this turbulent year.
