Belén González, IRD Knowledge Hub Coordinator, Colombia

Belén is the Knowledge Hub Coordinator for the Inclusive Regional Development program of MIT CoLab, working in collaboration with local partners documenting and building knowledge from the transformation we drive together in the Pacific of Colombia.

She began collaborating with CoLab as a Hubert Humphrey Fellow in the Special Program for Urban and Regional Studies (SPURS) at MIT. Previously Belén was Executive Director of TECHO Uruguay, where she worked for 7 years strengthening grassroots organizations from underserved communities and coordinated a National Census of Informal Settlements. She continues to contribute to the organization as a member of the Board of Trustees. Belén is currently at the University of Sussex as a Chevening Fellow studying a MSc in Sustainable Development focusing on the pluralization of sustainable development in Latin America.
