Allison Cook, Mel King Community Fellows

Allison Cook (pronouns: she, her, hers) is the Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) Consultant to MIT CoLab. In this capacity, she identifies strategic opportunities within the LTSS field, conducts research, and helps to inform the direction of the Centering Equity in Long-Term Care Class of the Mel King Fellowship Program.


Allison is the founder of Better Aging and Policy Consulting. She is also the Chief Strategist for EmergingAging NYC, a volunteer-run networking group for emerging professionals in the field of aging. Prior to starting her consulting business, she was the State Policy Manager at PHI. Allison’s interest in improving the American LTSS system was solidified while working as a home health aide.

Allison has her Master of Public Health, with a focus on aging and policy, from Brown University.
