CoLab aspires to create innovations with communities at the margins to democratize economies and build self-determination. An essential element of economic democracy and self-determination is access to financial services. Without this access, individuals and communities are excluded from the economy and need to rely on financial service providers that exploit the vulnerable reality of communities at the margins.
The project “Just Money. Banking as if Society Mattered”:
Works with banks and financial institutions that use finance as a tool for addressing social and environmental challenges
Provides capacity building in just banking
Develops knowledge and captures best practices
Offers free, open source learning materials to a broad audience
